Does Nabla Work With eClinicalWorks?

Nabla does not publish an interface level description for eClinicalWorks. What it publishes is the outcome, structured note export into the EHR's templates, and a general description of Nabla Connect, an embeddable module that lets an EHR host Nabla inside an iFrame, which is aimed at EHR vendors rather than practices. For an eCW organisation deployment, the realistic paths are the certified FHIR R4 API for reading patient context and either the proprietary API or an HL7 document interface for writing note content into the progress note. Ask which, because it determines whether the practice authorises the app itself or has to raise a request with eClinicalWorks.

Nabla's differentiators on eCW are breadth of language support and its footprint in community health, where multilingual encounters are the norm and the buyer is often a clinical operations lead rather than IT. The community health centre page covers what else that buyer should check.

For an organisation customer, the clinician records the visit in Nabla with consent, reviews a structured draft within seconds of the visit ending, and sends it to eClinicalWorks where it populates the note template for review and signature in eCW. Nabla also produces patient instructions and coding suggestions across specialties; confirm whether the coding output is written to eCW or shown only in Nabla. The Neighborhood Healthcare deployment ran across primary care and behavioural health, which is a useful reference for the many eCW customers in the same settings.

For an individual clinician on the published plan, Nabla produces the same draft and the clinician copies it into eCW. That is a legitimate workflow and a different product from an integration.

What is not published for eCW: whether the draft is grounded in the existing chart, whether diagnoses land as structured entries, and how a failed export is surfaced. A practical point for multi site groups: confirm at onboarding that every location's eCW schedule and provider list is mapped into Nabla, and name who reconciles a note that Nabla could not attach to an encounter. Community health networks like Neighborhood Healthcare typically assign that daily check to a medical assistant, which is inexpensive and removes the most common source of missing notes in the first month.

On eClinicalWorks the practice authorises the app itself. For an organisation deployment, someone at the practice authorises Nabla's application or raises the interface request with eClinicalWorks, asks in writing what it costs and how long it takes, signs a BAA directly with Nabla, decides which clinicians go first, and owns the relationship when an export fails. Nabla's onboarding is designed to be quick; the delays are usually the BAA and the question of who owns the request.

Nabla is a French company with a United States operation. Ask where audio, transcripts and notes for United States patients are stored and processed and get it into the BAA. • Integration is tiered. One click sync is for organisations; individual clinicians copy and paste. Ask the minimum size for the organisation tier.
• Interface not named. Nabla does not say which eCW interface carries the export. Not published. Checked September 2026.
• Chart read not documented for eCW. On athenahealth Nabla announced a roadmap for reading patient context; nothing equivalent is published for eClinicalWorks.
• Organisation pricing not published. The Nabla pricing page covers the published individual figure and what to ask at group scale.
• Competing incumbent controls the platform. Sunoh.ai is eClinicalWorks' own product with a published per user price.

Ask Nabla, in writing: the minimum size for one click eCW sync; which eClinicalWorks interface it uses; whether any chart data is read before drafting; which sections are written and what happens when they already contain text; whether diagnoses land as structured entries; how a failed export is surfaced; where United States data is stored and for how long; whether your data trains shared models; the organisation price per clinician; and the offboarding process. Ask eClinicalWorks: what the interface Nabla needs costs, how long it takes, and what Sunoh.ai would cost on the same terms.
