Last updated / Reviewed by Clunic Research Team

Quick answer

Hello Patient does not publish pricing. Checked September 2026. Sales is demo based, and third party reviews describe a flat monthly fee covering phone, text and chat with support and tuning included, but no reliable dollar figure has been reported. Expect a per location or per practice subscription on an annual term, and build your ceiling from call volume before the demo.

How much does Hello Patient cost?

Hello Patient publishes no pricing. Checked September 2026, its homepage describes AI scheduling and communication across phone, text and chat for medical practices, med spas and specialty groups, displays HIPAA and SOC 2 badges, and offers a call booking rather than a price. There is no pricing page, tier list or starting figure.

Third party coverage is thinner than for most vendors in this category, and unusually honest about it. Agentman's August 2026 healthcare voice AI pricing review, written by a competitor, states that Hello Patient is demo based and that no reliable third party price reports existed as of July 2026. Review aggregators describe a flat monthly rate with no hidden costs and support and tuning included, and note that Hello Patient's reference customers suggest enterprise scale contracts, but none of them give a number. We found no figure we would repeat.

What we can say is the shape of the offer. Hello Patient sells to practices and mid sized groups rather than hospitals, covers inbound and outbound patient communication across three channels, and integrates with the practice systems that segment runs. That points to a subscription priced per location or per practice, and the vendor confirmed neither the basis nor the amount to us. Our Hello Patient vendor profile holds the registry facts.

How is Hello Patient priced?

On the available evidence, as a flat monthly subscription with support and ongoing tuning inside the fee, rather than per minute or per call. That is the model third party reviews describe and it is consistent with a vendor selling to practices, where predictable billing matters more than a low unit price. The levers inside a subscription of that type are the number of locations, the channels in scope (phone alone, or phone plus text and chat), call volume bands, the number of providers whose schedules the agent books into, and integration with your practice management system.

Ask three questions to establish the basis. First, whether the fee is per location, per provider or per practice, and what adding a site does to it. Second, whether there is a call or conversation volume cap, and the overage rate above it, because a flat fee with a cap is usage pricing in disguise. Third, whether text and chat are included or priced as additional channels, since a vendor covering three channels can bundle or unbundle them.

Hello Patient also serves med spas and other cash pay segments, where pricing may differ from insurance based practices. If you are a medical practice, make sure the quote reflects your integration requirements rather than a lighter configuration. The AI phone agent use case sets out how to size your call volume before that conversation.

What is included and what costs extra?

Included, on third party descriptions, is the agent across the channels you licence, configuration to your scheduling rules, integration with your practice management system, ongoing tuning and support. What to price separately:

  • Practice management integration. Hello Patient publishes integrations with athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen and Veradigm. Our athenahealth and eClinicalWorks pages cover what a live scheduling connection involves and what the EHR vendor may charge for marketplace access.
  • Telephony. Number porting, routing and any carrier changes to put the agent in front of your line.
  • Additional channels and locations, if not bundled.
  • Implementation. Whether setup is inside the subscription or a one time fee, and the go live timeline.
  • Staff review time. The first month of checking bookings and messages, which is your cost and the one that decides whether the front desk trusts the tool.

Because the vendor bundles support and tuning, ask what tuning means in practice: how quickly a script change is made, whether you can make changes yourself, and whether specialty specific flows cost extra.

How does Hello Patient compare with alternatives on price?

Against the enterprise inbound vendors, Hello Patient is the practice scale option. Assort Health has third party reports of a 75,000 USD annual minimum quoted to one practice in July 2026, and Hyro a reported 10,000 USD a month entry point, neither confirmed by the vendor. A practice or mid sized group that receives those numbers is being told it is below the target size, and Hello Patient exists for that buyer. Without a published figure we cannot say by how much it undercuts them, only that its customer base and sales motion sit lower.

Against practice scale alternatives, dental only Arini has third party reports of tiers from 199 USD a month, and several general purpose front desk agents publish prices under 300 USD a month. Hello Patient's three channel scope and its published compliance position, a business associate agreement with every client and SOC 2 Type 2, are the arguments for paying more than the cheapest option. The AI phone agents comparison sets out where each vendor sits, and the outbound payer calling problem is a separate purchase covered on our Infinitus pricing page.

Is Hello Patient worth it?

It is worth it when a practice is losing appointments to abandoned and after hours calls and the agent can complete bookings in your practice management system. A worked example. A six provider practice receives 2,800 inbound calls a month, abandons 12 percent, and has two front desk staff on the phones at a loaded cost of around 4,000 USD each a month. After hours, about 300 calls a month go to voicemail.

If the agent resolves half of all calls end to end, abandoned calls fall to 4 percent and after hours calls are answered, the practice recovers roughly 225 abandoned calls plus 300 after hours calls a month. If a third of those would have booked, that is about 175 appointments at an average net revenue of 120 USD, about 21,000 USD a month. On labour, the practice probably does not remove a role, but it stops hiring the third one it was planning, and the front desk stops burning out. Against a flat monthly fee in the range practice scale vendors charge, the case closes if the resolution rate holds, and the resolution rate is a pilot measurement rather than a brochure figure.

Pull the phone system report before the demo. The AI readiness assessment is the right precursor, because an agent booking into a template nobody maintains fails for reasons unrelated to the vendor, and the clinician turnover cost calculator puts a number on the front desk attrition that phone overload drives.

What to negotiate before signing a Hello Patient agreement

  • The basis of the fee in writing: per location, per provider or per practice, channels included, and any conversation volume cap with its overage rate.
  • Monthly and annual options, with the discount for annual stated, and a pilot exit within the first quarter.
  • Pilot measures. Calls completed without a human, abandoned rate, speed to answer and corrections staff made, baselined before and measured for six weeks after, with a purchase trigger agreed in advance.
  • Write back scope for your practice management system: real time availability, provider templates respected, and upgrade ownership.
  • Identity verification and disclosure standard, tested by calling the agent as an awkward patient.
  • Recordings, transcripts and messages. Retention, access, model training and subprocessors, checked against the HIPAA and AI compliance baseline. Hello Patient states it signs a business associate agreement with every client; make sure the agreement reflects the answers.
  • Text messaging consent handling under TCPA and state rules, and AI disclosure requirements in your states, starting from the state AI laws map.
  • Renewal cap and the right to drop a channel or location at renewal.

What an independent review adds

A vendor that publishes no price but a clear compliance position is asking you to decide on trust and a demo, and a demo shows the calls the vendor chose. An independent review pulls your phone data, sizes what an agent could realistically complete, sets a ceiling before the quote arrives, and runs the pilot to a fixed structure so the resolution rate you sign against is yours. It also compares the quote against practice scale alternatives on identical scope, which is the comparison the vendor will not make for you.

Clunic takes no commissions or referral fees from Hello Patient or any other vendor. Our vendor selection service covers shortlist, pilot and contract review at a fixed price, and our staff training work covers the first month when the front desk decides whether the agent is a colleague or a nuisance. Book a call if you have a Hello Patient quote and want it checked against your call data.

Questions we get asked

How much does Hello Patient cost per month?

Not published. Checked September 2026. Third party reviews describe a flat monthly fee with support and tuning included, but no reliable dollar figure has been reported, and the vendor sells through demos. Ask for the basis of the fee, per location, per provider or per practice, and any volume cap before the demo.

Does Hello Patient charge per call?

Reports describe a flat monthly subscription rather than per call or per minute billing. Confirm whether the flat fee carries a conversation volume cap with overage, because a capped fee behaves like usage pricing at high volume. The AI phone agent use case explains how to size your volume.

Does Hello Patient require an annual contract?

Not published. Ask for both monthly and annual options with the annual discount stated, and negotiate a pilot exit in the first quarter tied to measured resolution and abandoned call rates.

Does Hello Patient sign a business associate agreement?

Yes. Hello Patient publicly states that it signs a business associate agreement with every client and is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, which is the most explicit public compliance position among the vendors on our AI phone agents comparison. Still read the retention and subprocessor terms before signing.

Which practice systems does Hello Patient integrate with?

Hello Patient publishes integrations with athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen and Veradigm. Confirm real time availability, template handling and who maintains the connection through upgrades for your specific build. Our EHR integration questions post lists what to ask.

Is Hello Patient cheaper than Assort Health?

Almost certainly, though neither publishes a price. Assort Health has a reported 75,000 USD annual minimum for five providers from one July 2026 sales enquiry, while Hello Patient sells to practices and mid sized groups at a flat monthly fee. The right comparison is on scope and integration fit at your size, set out on our Assort Health pricing page.
